A brand new patch containing significant updates for Yomi 2 includes TWO new languages, FOUR new characters, balance adjustments, and bug fixes. See it down below:
Yomi 2 Patch
New Content
- Zane, the Blood Guard Anarchist is now available to play.
- Gloria, the Hopeful Healer is now available to play.
- Gwen, the Doomed Wanderer is now available to play.
- Quince, the Flagstone Chief Magistrate is now available to play.
This implies that you can now play as all 20 characters! (In the Renegades Expansion, there are two more.)
You can now play the game in Spanish and German.
Balance Changes
Setsuki:
An extra effect of Bag of Tricks (Ability) is “If you then have 4 or fewer cards, draw 4 cards.”
Green gem:
Gem’s special move for smashing rhinos is “Armored.” -> “Armored if you’re not knocked down.”
Breath of the Wild (Gem Storm):
Old: Playing a super gives you 1 meter and costs you nothing.
New: No cost supers. Every turn when you DO NOT play a super, you gain one meter.
Black gem:
The gem storm known as Shadow Tentacles no longer activates upon block damage.
Troq:
Giant Growth (ability) changed:
Old:
In the event that your discard pile contains your high and low blocks, this gets:
Ongoing: Each of your moves deals +3 damage.
Discard this from play: when a turn in which you sustain 10 or more damage.
NEW:
Ongoing: Your actions deal +3 damage and +3 blocking damage.
The moment you launch an attack, the other person gains the upper hand.
Discard this from play: when a turn in which you sustain 10 or more damage.
Onimaru:
The edge is no longer provided by the E assault.
Even though the Martial Law super is free during the green gem storm, it now only receives the level 2 or 3 effect if Onimaru truly possessed level 2 or 3, respectively.
Bal-Bas-Beta:
Junkshot (X) is no longer Starter and is Can’t Combo.
If damage was avoided that turn by Keep Away, it no longer returns to BBB’s hand.
Persephone:
On Your Knees (Super 2) is currently dangerous on the block.
Improvements
- New sound and visual effect for healing life.
- New sound for triggering Persephone’s Dominance (innate).
Bug Fixes
- Martial Law (Onimaru Super1), when performed after a dodge or as an unsafe-on-block punish, no longer improperly drains all meter during the green gem storm.
- Playing Healing Potion while you don’t have any blocks in your hand is no longer permitted. (Doing so would be a pointless waste of Healing Potion.)
- Lum’s Bamboo now appropriately discards when either player is struck by a move other than a direct hit, such as a Firestorm or Bubble Shield.
- Rainbow Disc (Valerie Super 2) no longer prevents acrobatics (Vendetta Y dodge) from being played improperly when dodges are deactivated.
- A card with the River attitude can no longer be forced to the top of the deck by the intimidating Roar (Dragon Midori Ability). Additionally, if River uses one of her known-hand cards while in a stance, it no longer negates them. (This is because attitude cards cannot be discarded.)
- Now, when Midori is the target of Intimidating Roar, which temporarily erases his known hand-cards until he draws one, and then changes into Dragon Form prior to drawing a card, the known-hand-cards accurately depict the scenario.
- In certain languages, fixed main phase buttons overlap when your character has a fifth main phase button (such as Bal-Bas-Beta).
- Resolved a potential AI hang that occurred during the Mistress’s Command.
- Resolved crash when Blue Prohibition and a throw or Chains of Ice effect are applied simultaneously by Gwen to bypass the opponent’s main phase.
- Corrected an incorrect arrangement for the large known-hand cards in cases where none of the hand cards are known, or when they are all displayed face down.
- Fix potential for the “ghost character” character select bug, which causes the animated figure in the middle of the screen to appear with erratic backdrop texture.
- Remedy for buddy match going awry (displaying the ruleset select screen erroneously) Press Back after selecting a character in the rematch.
- If you played the game before we added the remappable “Known Hand Cards” button, we now map that button to its defaults instead of leaving it unassigned, which are R3 on the gamepad and Q on the keyboard.
- Resolved button configuration errors that occurred when utilizing Steam Input.
- The “Random” button help that accomplishes nothing when pressed on the gem reference screen has been removed by the game.
- Using Shift-Tab to open the Steam overlay on MacOS should now function.
- Super movies no longer play any sound at all when the Master Volume or Effects Volume is set to 0, as opposed to playing an extremely quiet sound in error.
That’s all for the patch notes of Yomi 2. Let us know what you think of this patch in the comments.
