If you just started out on Graveyard Keeper, you might have a hard time gathering Blue Tech Points. These points are often among the hardest to earn in the early game. Therefore, today we’ll share a mini guide on how to get more Blue Tech Points on Graveyard Keeper.
What Are Technology Points?
Technology points are used to learn new skills and unlock blueprints. There are three different technology points in the game:
- Red: Red Technology Points are based around handcrafting skills and your ability to work with materials. So, anything that involves physical labor (like chopping a tree) will help you obtain Red Points.
- Green: Green Points represent your knowledge about the nature of things and about nature itself. Anything involving organic materials will generate Green Points. This means that actions like gathering wood and farming will increase those points for you.
- Blue: Finally, our topic of discussion today is the Blue Tech Point. Blue Points represent your spiritual knowledge of the immaterial world. As stated before, these are the hardest to get in the early game. Tasks involving the morgue, graveyard, and alchemy generate them but you will get access to many of these later into the game. All of these Tech Points are obtained by different actions, items as well as study of items. Essential to progress is the study table that is located in the basement of the Church.
How To Get More Blue Tech Points
The best way to earn Blue Points is to make use of the study table. The study table is a place where you can research various items of the game for a one-time bounty of tech points. It becomes available after you’ve progressed through the Bishop’s main questline far enough to get access to the Church and the Alchemy Lab.
You’ll need a combination of science and faith to research most of the items there. Science is stored within the Study Table and is not an item you can keep in your inventory. To obtain it, simply research clean papers, notes, chapters, books, or lenses in the Study Table. You can also obtain a tiny amount of science during the Astrologist quest when you research the keeper’s key with the instructions for using it.
Faith is a resource you can obtain either through giving sermons in the Church or randomly from a confessional. Once you do have access to the Study Table and have earned yourself a bit of science and faith, you can now go on to study items to earn different Tech Points. But the only items you can study that will earn you Blue Tech Points are all body parts, gravestones, fences, and alchemical substances. You can only study these items once but gathering body parts and gravestone decorations is easy and studying these will generate a lot of Blue Points at the beginning of the game. Be sure to store away at least one of every body part that you autopsy and craft some gravestones and fences keeping one of each of those.
Study everything that you can make that will give you Blue Points. Each item description will tell you what items and points it will give you once broken down and studied. Eat cake before you study something as it will give you twice the amount of points.
There are other ways of obtaining Blue Tech Points including using the Church Workbench. You will have to unlock the blueprint to craft this in the technology skill tree. It is quite easy to unlock and once you have unlocked it, you can craft numerous items such as ink, pen, hemp rope, and candles. These will generate you tiny amounts of Blue Points. Similarly, you can also craft items at the Church Workbench which will help you obtain more points such as embalming fluids.
