About The Shop

When you’re not playing any cards, you’re in the shop looking for the best jokers, tarot cards and more to incorporate into your run. You encounter the shop after each winning run. The basic shop will offer you two joker or consumable cards, two booster packs, and one voucher for sale. Rerolling the basic shop will set you back $5 and each consecutive reroll will cost a dollar more. Your shopping experience can be modified thanks to tags, vouchers, jokers, and stakes.

Vouchers

You will get one voucher card per shopping window. Now there are two ways you can change the voucher that’s available in the shop. The first and most common way is to defeat the boss blind which will reset the voucher available for sale. That means that if you are interested in a particular voucher, save up and buy it before you encounter the boss blind. There is a small chance that the same voucher will be up for grabs in two shops in a row if you don’t buy it the first time. The second way to get a voucher is to obtain a voucher tag. This will spawn an additional voucher in the shop irrespective of which you blind you just beat.

Booster Packs

Two booster packs will always spawn in a basic shop. These cannot be rerolled at any cost. There are a total of five types of booster packs:

1. Arcana: Packs containing Tarot cards for immediate use
2. Buffoon: Packs containing Joker cards that you can add to your run
3. Celestial: Packs containing Planet cards for immediate use
4. Spectral: Packs containing Spectral cards for immediate use
5. Standard: Packs containing playing cards (often with enhancements, seals, and/or editions) that you can add to your deck.

Each of these packs come in three different sizes based on the number of cards they contain and the number of cards that you can pick from them:

Remember that in the case of a Mega Buffoon pack, you can select 1 Joker, sell it and take the Joker you want in your run for some extra money.

Joker Cards

In the base shop, a maximum of 2 Joker cards may appear in each shop window. When generating Jokers at random, there is a 70% chance of generating a common Joker, a 25% chance of generating an uncommon Joker, and a 5% chance of generating a rare Joker. A legendary Joker can only appear from The Soul Spectral Card.
